Fire safety is a particularly challenging issue for San Fernando Valley owners and managers. While wildfires don’t often hit commercial office buildings in the Valley, they experience terrible impacts from these fires – poor air quality, tenants unable to come into work, and stalled economic activity. Moreover, there are distinct fire safety challenges to operating buildings in the Valley. Many buildings have more sprawling campuses with brush and operate in a dryer, warmer climate. The layout of the Valley’s commercial corridors also creates additional challenges and opportunities for emergency procedures. This is all the more urgent to discuss as fire season becomes longer and more intense.
